The weather man said there was a pretty good chance
Of a big one coming that night
Everybody in town was locking it down
Closing shutters and finding flash lights
Oh but daddy’s intuition is sharper then a knife
Said the rain don’t come til the robin takes flight
And he smiled like he always does
We stayed out until the sun came up

Chorus
And we counted our blessings one by one
And the wind and the thunder never did come
We just sat there talking, laughing like fools
Nobody watching but the man in the moon
And the whole world slept that perfect night
I learned a little bout living and a lot about life
Out there in the backyard
Just me and him and 538 stars

Some shimmered and shined like big diamond rings
Some sank into the milky way
He old me about the one who led the three kings
To the stable on Christmas Day
He always made it easy for me to understand
Said we’re all a part of a much bigger plan
And he smiled like he always does
We stayed out until the sun came up

Chorus
And we counted our blessings one by one
And the wind and the thunder never did come
We just sat there talking, laughing like fools
Nobody watching but the man in the moon
And the whole world slept that perfect night
I learned a little bout living and a lot about life
Out there in the backyard
Just me and him and 538 stars

Bridge
We watched the world
Just the two of us
Like it always is
Like it always was

Just me and dad and 538 stars

Vocalist -- Sarah Brightman

Sarah Brightman (born 14 August 1960 in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire, UK) is an English soprano and actress. She is the eldest of six children. Her ambition to be an artist was clear from a very early age. She often took ballet lessons and was an excellent student.

In 1976 she joined the dance group Pan’s People. She later went on to lead Hot Gossip, a mixed dance act who appeared regularly on The Kenny Everett Video Show. The group, who were somewhat more ‘raunchy’ than Pan’s People, had a chart-topping disco hit in this year with “I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper”, wherein she first discovered her vocal talents.

Her 1984 marriage to Andrew Lloyd Webber ended in 1990. After her divorce, Brightman became a crossover artist with former Enigma producer Frank Peterson. Her style, a blend of classical vocals and pop-inspired instrumentation and arrangement, earned her further success. Brightman has received 160 Gold and Platinum awards in 34 countries[1] and is the only artist to hold #1 spots on the Billboard Classical and Dance charts simultaneously. She has sold 26 million records worldwide thus far, making her the best selling soprano of all time,[2] and one of the biggest selling classical soloists of all time.[3] She is said to be worth as much as £30m (about US$42m).[4]

Famous Albums:

1. The Trees They Grow So High, (1988)

2. The Songs That Got Away (1989)

3. Time To Say Goodbye; (1997)

4. I Won't Forget You; (1999)

5. Symphony (2008)
